The project began with substantial site clearance including demolition of a derelict existing post war house.
The site of the new dwelling was to be in the adjacent sloping field, which was dug out, and leveled.
Groundworks included field drains, domestic drainage and retaining walls around the field embankments where it fell away sharply to the new level of the site.
This build was project managed and constructed by Acura Build. The build included the house and an annex as well as external landscaping.
Working closely with the client, careful attention was paid to aesthetic and functional properties of all aspects.
Following construction of the property Acura Build were responsible for internal fit out elements such as flooring, bathrooms, mezzanines and windows as well as all ventilation ducting.
Our expertise in the field of specialist construction materials afforded some substantial savings in being able to offer the clients cost effective alternatives of similar specification to those in the bill of materials. For example, 40% saving on insulation costs and circa 30% saving on the cost of blocks.
