After demolishing a 1960’s bungalow to make room for the build, the site was levelled ready for foundations and drainage.
The site of the property was surrounded by forest so during the course of the groundworks we also had to undertake a good deal of tree trimming.
The exterior of the house was a combination of rich Cedar cladding and render with a deep overhanging slate roof. This particular element required support in the form of structural steelwork.
The kitchen and living space have large glass sliding doors with access to the garden; above this area is a large first floor roof terrace with timber decking. We installed a rubber roof before fitting the timber. This has a 25 year warranty.
Outside landscaping included an Indian Stone patio and all walkways and gravel driveway.
